The Exeter Camera Club was very successful at this years Devon Clubs Battle, hosted by Exmouth Photo Group at Clyst St Mary Village Hall, Nr Exeter. Our panel of five images entitled ‘Film Noir’ was awarded first place with the Phoenix Camera Club (Holsworthy) in second and Exmouth Photo Group third. We also did well in the DPI section coming second place to Exmouth and Newton Abbot Camera Club was awarded third.
It was a real team effort this year and I was glad that all the hard work resulted in a great result for the club.
As well as success as a team for the club we also had individual success in the print and DPI sections.
I was awarded first place for my ‘The Big Sleep’ print and David Snowden’s print ‘Pulp Fiction’ came third. John Baker’s DPI image of the International Space Station and Milky Way over Roche Rock, Cornwall was awarded second place in the DPI section.
